COVID-19 - Taber Public Library Closure
At 3:30pm, Alberta’s Chief Medical Officer Dr. Deena Hinshaw has prohibited Albertans from visiting libraries in-person under the declared public health state of emergency.
With the recent developments regarding Novel Coronavirus (COVID-19) in Alberta, Taber Public Library will be closed to the public effective immediately and until further notice. All programs are cancelled, and those with room bookings will be contacted to reschedule.
If you have materials currently on loan, they have automatically been renewed until April 14th, 2020, and late fees will be waived during this period. If you have items that cannot be returned through our drop boxes (i.e., board games) please hold onto them until we re-open.
For the time being, front desk staff will be providing customer support and information services at both 403-223-4343 and email@example.com during our regular business hours. Thousands of eResources are available through our eCollection at taberlibrary.ca/elibrary.
We will continue to monitor the situation and follow the advice of officials. Please watch our website (taberlibrary.ca) and social media for updates.
