Modified Services During Building Maintenance

Taber Public Library will be closed Friday, February 1, 2019 to Monday, February 18, 2019 for maintenance.  Regular business hours are scheduled to resume Tuesday, February 19, 2019 at 10:00 am.

Library Maintenance

Taber Public Library will be closed to the public Friday, February 1 through to Monday, February 18, 2019 for maintenance.  Regular business hours are scheduled to resume Tuesday, February 19, 2019.  During that time Taber Public Library will still be offering materials to be placed on hold, material returns and program - just at different locations!

Holds
Taber Public Library patrons currently have 3 options when it comes to their holds:

1) Holds may be paused.
This can be done by logging into your account online using your library card barcode and PIN.  Once you log in, click on your account name in the top-right corner and click on " On Hold." From there you may pause your holds.

2) Holds may be sent to Barnwell Public Library.
If you are able to travel, holds may be sent to Barnwell Public Library.  Pick-up location can be done by logging into your account online using your library card barcode and PIN.  Once you log in, click on your account name in the top-right corner and click on "My Settings." From there you may scroll down to "Holds and Pickup Location," where you can click "Change."  You can either add Barnwell Public Library as an additional location, or as your primary location during Taber Public Library's closure.

During business hours, Barnwell Public Library also offers in-person circulation support, such as placing holds.  Please visit Barnwell Public Library's website for location and hours.

3) Holds may be picked up at the Pop-Up Pick-Up Location.
Foldon Tornazik (5406 B, 50 Ave.) has graciously offered space for the library to set-up a pop-up pick-up location.  Pop by February 5, 8, 12, and 15 between 2:30 pm and 5:00 pm to pick up any holds you may not have been able to pause or send to another Chinook Arch library.

Returns
Material can continue to be returned using Taber Public Library's after-hours return slot, located on the south-west side of the building.  Materials will be checked in at a timely manner.

Computers
During this time, Taber Public Library's public access computers will be unavailable for use.  Taber & District Community Adult Learning (5011 49 Ave.) offers public access computers for job searching during their business.  For more information please visit their website
